Post topic/content/ claim- ARTICLE RESPONSE BLOG POST #3
Your response- Although the emissions from these trains would be malignant, I know that traffic in the LA region is especially bad. This traffic also leads to great CO2 emissions. I would love to know if more people took these high-speed trains and less people were driving, if traffic would be reduced. If there was less traffic, less CO2 emissions would be present. Which would produce less CO2 emissions, the train and less traffic or the current setup?

Post topic/content/ claim- My Newest Read
Your response- Mel, I have seen the movie The Devil Wears Prada and did not recognize any type of repetition in the movie. I enjoyed how Andy seemed to grow and become more confident throughout the book/movie. In the beginning she was very staid, and yet by the end she was standing up to the biggest face in fashion.

Your response- Jasmine, great job with your summary. It was very direct and apposite. Unnecessary details were not included and the important ones were eloquently put together.

Post topic/content/ claim- The God Delusion: Part 1
Your response- Calvin, interesting that you mention Islamic threats against Danish cartoonists. As I am writing this comment, 2 Islamic extremists are on the loose in Paris after shooting up a French satiric newspaper. Your book seems to be linking to current issues in the world. For many people in the Islamic religion, many people and groups seem to be targeted as their adversaries.

Your response- Melissa, I can only imagine your current predicament, as I still have another year until I begin to hear back from colleges. I do agree with you that I would rather receive either a "yes" or "no" answer. Now I bet you feel like you under heavy pressure to perform well in the first two marking periods. You must be unflagging when it comes to this journey and try your best and hope that you get in. Good luck to you!

Post topic/content/ claim- How-To: Tinder
Your response- Josh, although I am not in your class, I feel like I am a close enough friend to tell you that Tinder is not the way to get girls. When both parties are lying the best thing that could happen would be a mediocre hook-up. If you want to have a deep, personal relationship then get off Tinder. But I know that's not what you are looking for so keep up the good work!

Your response- Laura, it sounds like you may have found a new type of book that you will be more likely to read in the future: tough and subversive. Great job of integrating your vocab words into your post.

Post topic/content/ claim- Signpost Claim
Your response- Jenna, great job picking up on this again-and-again signpost. This issue seems to be weaved in throughout the story and one of the major plotlines. Bella's situation is also very realistic. It sounds like she had lots of trouble when it came to formulating her plan for the future.
